A quick update that matters to clients who book our luxury tier: Lavisa Travel has formalized direct-partner relationships with four additional luxury hospitality groups — Alila, Raffles, Rosewood, and Aman. Effective immediately, our clients booking through these four brands receive preferential rates, guaranteed room-category upgrades where available, and on-property amenities that the hotels don’t advertise publicly. This brings our total direct-partner network to 11 luxury groups and over 340 properties worldwide.
Why This Matters
When you book a luxury hotel through a consumer site like Booking.com or Agoda, you generally pay the best available rate, and that’s it. When you book through an agency that doesn’t hold a direct relationship with the hotel, you might save 5% but you’re still just a reservation number. When you book through an agency that has a formal direct-partner agreement — like ours now does with these four groups — several things happen that you cannot replicate by booking direct yourself.
First, the rate is lower than the public rate, typically by 8–15%. Second, there’s a stamp on your reservation that says “Lavisa Travel partner guest,” which is treated as different from a walk-in booking. This usually means room-category upgrades when available, early check-in or late checkout when the hotel can accommodate, and small on-property amenities — typically a welcome amenity, a dining credit, or a spa credit worth roughly USD 100–150 per stay.
Third, and most importantly for anything ever going wrong: when there’s a service issue, we have a direct line to the hotel’s concierge manager, not a booking-site call centre. The difference is meaningful. Last year, of our clients who encountered a significant issue on a luxury booking (wrong room, maintenance problem, late flight affecting check-in), 100% of the direct-partner cases were resolved the same day; of the non-direct-partner cases, the average resolution time was 37 hours.
The Four New Groups
Alila
Boutique luxury group originally from Bali, now with properties across Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas. Alila’s aesthetic is minimalist architectural luxury — think Alila Villas Uluwatu carved into the cliffside, or Alila Jabal Akhdar perched on a mountain edge in Oman. Strong fit for clients who prioritize design and quiet over branded flash. Our favourite properties: Alila Jabal Akhdar (Oman), Alila Uluwatu (Bali), and Alila Anji (Zhejiang, China).
Raffles
The classic grande-dame group. Raffles Singapore is the original and still arguably the best colonial-era luxury hotel in Asia. New additions like Raffles Istanbul and Raffles Udaipur are recent and excellent. Our favourite properties: Raffles Singapore, Raffles Seychelles, and the newly reopened Raffles London at the OWO.
Rosewood
The American-founded group whose “sense of place” philosophy — each property distinctly reflecting its local culture — has made them particularly popular with clients who are tired of identikit international luxury. Rosewood Hong Kong has one of the best hotel-bar views in Asia; Rosewood Mayakoba is the quietest luxury option in the Riviera Maya; Rosewood Sand Hill is where the Silicon Valley elite stays. Our favourite properties: Rosewood Phnom Penh, Rosewood Amsterdam, and Rosewood Munich.
Aman
The highest price point on this list. Aman is for clients who’ve done conventional luxury and want to disappear. There are usually fewer than 50 guests on any Aman property; service is almost telepathic; design is restrained to the point of meditation. We’ve been a preferred partner with Aman for smaller properties before, but this new agreement covers the full global portfolio. Our favourite properties: Amanoi Vietnam, Aman Tokyo, and the newly opened Amankora lodge circuit in Bhutan.
What This Means for You
If you have a booking at any property within these four groups between now and the end of 2026, and you booked through us, nothing on your end changes — you’ll automatically receive the upgraded partner benefits at check-in. If you booked direct or through a different agent, contact us and in most cases we can rebook you under our partner rate at no additional cost, provided we do so at least 30 days before arrival.
For future luxury bookings, start at our trip planner and mention your preferred brand or any of these four group names. One of our luxury specialists — we have three dedicated to the luxury tier — will come back within 24 hours with specific properties and dates.
What We Don’t Do
A few honest caveats. We do not add markup on these rates — you pay what we pay, plus our standard service fee which we disclose upfront before you commit to anything. We do not steer clients toward partner properties when a non-partner property is a better fit for their trip; our loyalty is to the client, not the hotel. And we will sometimes recommend a boutique independent property over any of these chains if that’s what the trip calls for — the partnerships are tools, not directives.
Coming Soon
Two more partnership announcements are in the pipeline for Q2 2026, one in the European boutique space and one in the Japanese ryokan segment. Subscribers to our monthly newsletter get these updates first. For current luxury offers, our seasonal deals page is refreshed weekly.
